| Approve the First Modification to the Interlocal Agreement Between Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners Head Start/Early Head Start Program (Student Services and Federal Programs Division) | |
| EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
| We request approval of the First Modification Agreement with Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners Head Start/Early Head Start Program and The School Board of Hillsborough County, FL with an increase amount of $694,878 from $10,574,822 to $11,269,700 due to restoration of $551,491 in Federal sequestration funds and allocation of $143,387 additional cost of living adjustment (COLA) funds, and increasing the non-federal share match requirement by $173,720 from $2,643,705 to $2,817,425. The sequestration was modified by the BOCC on May 7. This modification to the Interlocal Agreement was received in our head start office on May 29, 2014. | |

| The total funding of $11,269,700 is flow-through dollars from the Board of County Commissioners, Head Start/Early Head Start and contracted by The School Board of Hillsborough County, FL, Head Start Program. These dollars consist of $11,173,202 in Head Start base funding and $96,498 for Training and Technical Assistance. All funds are expended for the operation of The School Board of Hillsborough County, FL, Head Start Program for services provided for eligible families. | |

| Financial statements are audited by the Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners, Head Start/Early Head Start, as prescribed by law. Federal funding for The School Board of Hillsborough County, FL, Head Start Program flows through the Grantee, Hillsborough County Head Start/Early Head Start. There is no district-generated revenue used for this program. | |
