Approve the Agreement for Technical Services with Towers Watson Delaware Inc. to Develop a New Hillsborough County Public School (HCPS) Career Framework for Instructional Staff (Information and Technology Division)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Establishing a clear career framework for instructional staff that will provide the opportunity for teachers to grow as leaders and remain in the classroom is a top priority under the Empowering Effective Teachers Initiative.  Towers Watson is a nationally recognized consulting firm that provides services in this area in both the business and educational sectors.

This agreement for technical services is necessary in order to bring the expertise of Towers Watson to our district to work alongside our Human Resource and instructional staff to build our HCPS career framework.  Consultants from Towers Watson will: Develop career framework for teachers, align career framework and HCPS performance management program, design and develop competency models, and create role profiles for teacher jobs at HCPS.  They will also provide guidance to our in-house teams throughout the project.

EVALUATION
The evaluation of this project will consist of feedback from internal and external audiences regarding implementation of the career framework and feedback from the Empowering Effective Teachers Grant evaluators.
