| Approve a Reorganization of the Internal Communications Department | |
| EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
| The reorganization of the district's Internal Communications Department provides an alignment that streamlines personnel. This allows for personnel cross-training and the better utilization of department employees.
Two positions will be eliminated and one created at a savings of $32,424.48 to the district. The eliminated positions are a District Resource Teacher and an Associate TV Producer/Director position. The duties and responsibilities of both these positions will be absorbed into other positions. The new position will be an additional Assistant Department Manager, Communications. This position will assume the responsibilities of the Associate TV Producer/Director in addition to overseeing studio personnel and productions. A renaming of key positions to standardize the organizational layout of the department is also proposed. This renaming will provide a more accurate, clearer understanding of the functions of Internal Communications. |
