Approve the new evaluation for the Speech, Language, Deaf and Hard of Hearing Specialist/Teacher personnel to be used beginning in the 2014-2015 school year. | |
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
As part of the Empowering Effective Teachers (EET) project, a district committee comprised of speech language personnel, supervisors, CTA representatives, and administrators have created a new rubric for the 2014-2015 school year. The rubric consists of components divided into four domains of professional practice. Rubrics are provided to evaluators so the process will result in greater consistency in evaluations. Presented with this item is the new evaluation rubric for Speech, Language, Deaf and Hard of Hearing Specialist/Teacher personnel.
The new evaluation will be comprised of written evaluations by a peer evaluator and principal or supervisor (60%) and a student gains measure (40%). |
