Approve Service Agreement #ECA-C13-GCS-SBHC-FY15 Between Eckerd Youth Alternatives, Inc. d/b/a Eckerd Community Alternatives, (ECKERD) and The School Board of Hillsborough County, Florida (HCPS) (Student Services Division)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
HCPS has developed working relationships and services to support the educational success for students placed with licensed foster care families. Several local providers including Connected by 25, Inc., the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit and ECKERD work together to support educational success for those students. HCPS has provided funds and successfully assigned one districtwide high school guidance counselor. ECKERD has agreed to provide the funds and support for two districtwide school counselors and one new education court liaison position for the 2014/2015 school year.

ECKERD will supply funds to the district in an amount not to exceed $160,987 for salary, benefits, vicinity travel, and equipment/supplies for two 10-month counselors and one new education court liaison.
EVALUATION
Program services are evaluated on an ongoing basis. Individual support, guidance, and progress monitoring is provided at school sites for each participating student. The Supervisor and Coordinator of School Social Work Services meet with program staff for program service planning and implementation. An annual report of student achievement is provided with the cooperation of Department of Assessment to make recommendations and improve services for youth.
