Evaluation Results and Approval of the Continuation of the Superintendent's Contract for an Additional Year (Attachment B Revised)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The Superintendent’s annual evaluation for the 2013-2014 school year has been completed.  The School Board members rated the Superintendent on nine standards and she received 223 points out of a maximum 315 points, an overall “Above Satisfactory” on the point range rubric.  Percentage rating results by individual categories were:  34% Outstanding, 36% Above Satisfactory, 17% Satisfactory, 13% Conditional, 0% Unsatisfactory.

The Superintendent’s contract states, “If the evaluation of the Superintendent reflects an average of eighty percent (80%) satisfactory performance of her duties by a majority of the Board, the Board shall extend the Superintendent’s Contract for one (1) year from the termination date of the contract and any extensions in effect at the time.”  In accordance with the language in the Superintendent’s contract, the length of her contract is automatically extended one year.

The compilation points summary of the Superintendent’s evaluation is found in Attachment A.  Evaluation comments are reflected in Attachment B.

Negotiations with the Hillsborough Classroom Teachers Association have not concluded at this time; therefore, Mrs. Elia’s 2014-2015 base salary remains the same as the 2013-2014 contract year.
