| Approve the Agreement for Technical Services with Asponte Technology, Inc. for Websphere Portal Services (Information and Technology Division) | |
| EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
| Extending and maintaining the Education Connection portal is a top priority under the Empowering Effective Teachers Initiative. Websphere is the software upon which the portal is built. Asponte Technology, Inc. is a nationally recognized consulting firm that provides a premium level of service in this area. This Agreement for Technical Services is necessary in order to bring the expertise of Asponte Technology, Inc. to our district to work alongside our Information Technology staff in order to insure the sustainment of the Education Connection. Consultants from Asponte Technology, Inc. will: provide system administration and tuning tasks, review the work of district staff, and architect the future state of the Education Connection infrastructure. | |

| Funds are not to exceed $52,700 for the period from the approval of this agreement through June 30, 2015. Funds are included in the Information and Technology Division budget for this expense. | |
| EVALUATION | |
| Information Services staff will evaluate the consulting agreement with Asponte Technology, Inc. based on the accuracy and timeliness of the deliverables as outlined in the Statement of Work. District staff monitors and reviews Asponte Technology's performance through status reports and discussions during weekly status meetings and project plan reviews. | |
