| EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
| The supplemental materials, from Teacher Created Materials Publishing, address the needs of students at all language proficiency levels to develop the linguistics skills necessary to succeed. The academic supplemental language materials focus on high-interest content in mathematics, science, social studies, and include supporting graphics and key vocabulary to build language skills.
Teacher Created Materials Publishing consultants work closely with school and district representatives to tailor professional development for teachers instructing English language learners (ELL). They pair teachers’ pedagogical content knowledge with language acquisition strategies to create an optimal learning environment. Teacher Created Materials Publishing is designated as sole-source and is the exclusive United States distributor and publisher of all professional development and materials. Therefore, this purchase is exempt from the requesting competitive solicitations by the Florida Department of Education 6A-1.012 Purchasing Policies (11) (b). |

| Evaluation of the materials will be conducted by the supervisor of Programs for ELL and district and site-based English Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) staff. Continual professional development will be held for participating teachers throughout the year. | |
