SUBJECT / RECOMMENDATIONS
Approve the Agreement for Technical Services with Divine Individuals with Virtuous Attitudes, LLC (D.I.V.A.) to Provide Self Esteem Building Activities at Just, Potter, and B.T. Washington Elementary Schools During the EdVenture Program (Academic Support and Federal Programs Division)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

D.I.V.A aims to help girls become effective, dynamic leaders in their communities and schools by:

  • Providing positive role models
  • Assisting with individual development
  • Providing trainings on social-skills and awareness of negative self-talk
  • Teaching girls to set and achieve goals
  • Providing classes in which talents and abilities will be explored, thus increasing self-confidence
  • Building self-awareness and values that lead to success in life
STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES
• Motivate students to become responsible learners • Challenge and support all students with an appropriate curriculum • Promote a culture of safety, which is free from harassment, bullying, and aggression
FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted:  Yes)
Title I Part A, funds totaling $12,825 will be used. 
EVALUATION
The program will be evaluated in its entirety to include the implementation of student mentoring, the correlation impact on student academic progress, behavioral change, and the overall school environment. Comparative data from the previous year in the areas of benchmark, attendance, and discipline infractions will be specifically evaluated.
