| Accept the Renewal of the Highest-Ranked Proposal Submitted by Superior Uniform Group - Request for Proposal (RFP) #11036-DST Work Uniforms (Business Division) | |
| EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
| On February 14, 2012, the Board accepted Superior Uniform Group as the highest-ranked proposal submitted for RFP #11036-DST Work Uniforms. Standard uniforms are issued to all employees who are required to wear uniforms and includes: Custodial, Maintenance, Transportation, Security, and Student Nutrition Services.
The annual allotment of uniforms consists of ten pieces of the employee's choice, per year. Uniforms are not purchased for an employee until they have completed the probationary period and achieved permanent status. The contract may be renewed for eight additional one-year periods, provided all terms and conditions remain unchanged and in full force and effect. The Superintendent is authorized to approve the renewal agreement, per the terms of the specifications. |

| Year-to-date expenditures for 2014-2015 are $606,040 and $807,337 for 2013-2014. Funds for uniforms will be available in the various department budgets. | |
| EVALUATION | |
| Contract administration or evaluation is performed by the Project Manager (end user) and Procurement Officer, who function as a team. Reviews are conducted face to face, typically quarterly, or by utilizing an online vendor performance report. Prior to soliciting a new contract, the Contract Administration team must first give consideration to the specifications and supporting data of the expiring contract. | |
