Approve Acceptance of Project for Building Envelope Renovation at Memorial Middle School |
|
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
Water intrusion at Memorial Middle School had resulted in interior damage to the school. District staff implemented temporary measures to address the sources of water intrusion, but a more comprehensive renovation of the building envelope was required to prevent further damage to the facility. Fleischman-Garcia Architects and Planners, AIA, PA and Vogel Bros. Building Co. were selected by District staff from the approved Continuing Services Consultants list to provide design and construction management services for a project to correct deficiencies in the building envelope. The scope of work included repointing of existing masonry joints; installation of new sealant at windows and other openings; repair of selected windows; and miscellaneous repairs to and repainting of all existing stucco panels. |
