Approve Proposed Attendance Boundary for Jack R. Lamb Elementary School and the Accompanying Boundary Adjustments to Frost and Ippolito Elementary Schools |
|
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
In August 2015, Hillsborough Public Schools will open the new Jack R. Lamb Elementary School located south of Progress Village Middle School, east of South 78th Street. Designed to provide space for new growth in the area, the new school will also offer relief to Ippolito and Frost Elementary Schools. The attendance boundaries of Ippolito and Frost Elementary Schools will be impacted to balance enrollment among the three elementary schools. These changes will be effective for the school year starting August 2015. A parent information meeting was held on January 6, 2015, for parents to review the proposed boundaries and ask questions of District staff members. Attached is a summary of stakeholder outreach, enrollment projections for 2015-16, and maps depicting the proposed attendance boundaries for the three schools. |
