Approve Amendment Number 1 of Interagency Agreement Number IA-391 with the Florida Department of Education (FLDOE), and, if Approved, Accept Funds for Development of Florida Standards Assessment (FSA) and End-of-Course (EOC) Assessments for Students with Visual Impairments for 2014/2015 (Student Services Division) | |
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
If approved, Florida Instructional Materials Center for the Visually Impaired (FIMC-VI) will assist the FLDOE/Bureau of K-12 Assessment by providing expert reviews and proofreading of the 2014/2015 FSA assessment materials to ensure that they are appropriate and accurate for students with visual impairments. Applying the principles of universal design, FIMC-VI will review the FSA English Language Arts (ELA) Writing passages and prompts for grades 4-11; FSA ELA passages and items for grades 3-11; FSA Mathematics items for grades 3-8; FSA Algebra 1 EOC items; FSA Geometry EOC items; FSA Algebra 2 EOC items; and the FSA training test materials.
The Florida Department of Education will sign after approved by The School Board of Hillsborough County, FL. |

If approved, grant funds will be included in the divisional special revenue/federal programs budget. As authorized by Section 1008.22, Florida Statutes, FLDOE/Bureau of K-12 Assessment will provide the district State General Revenue funds of $58,040 to complete the additional assessment activities. | |
