Approve the Piggyback of Bid #2013-03, Classroom/Office Equipment and Supplies Between Classroom Technology Solutions, Inc. and St. Johns County School District, Florida (Business Division)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The principal at Turner/Bartels, Dr. Jonathan Grantham, is updating the classrooms with new technology including white boards, projectors, and audio enhancement systems.  In the fall of 2014 Dr. Grantham held a "Tech It Out" night to demonstrate the technology to the parents and community and begin to raise funds.

In December 2014 Dr. Grantham was able to purchase and install 11 projector setups in classrooms with fundraising dollars and funds from the Matching Funds Program.  He would like to continue his efforts and there are several other schools interested in doing the same.

Classroom Technology Solutions set up a classroom with their "package solution" of a short-throw projector, interactive whiteboard, software, microphones, and ceiling speakers.  The package costs $4,395 and has a five-year, on-site warranty.  The technology trainers from Professional Development used the equipment for demo/training night and were impressed by the ease of using the supporting software packages and the audio enhancements.

Executive Summary continued on attachment.
