| Approve the Piggyback Between Multiple Vendors and Lake County Schools, Florida, Bid #3745BM - Catalog Discounts for Classroom Furniture (Business Division) | |
| EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
| If approved, this piggyback will provide districtwide purchasing resources for classroom furniture from School Specialty and Schoolhouse Products, Inc. It will also serve as best pricing for student chairs, activity tables, and testing lab tables for Lamb Elementary School, Middle School TT, and the additions at Metropolitan Ministries and Lennard High School, as needed.
The initial term of the Lake County Schools contract is from January 1, 2014, through December 31, 2016, and may be renewed for two additional one-year periods. Hillsborough County Public Schools will commence its use effective March 4, 2015. This contract may be renewed by the Superintendent, per the terms of the specifications. In accordance with the Florida Department of Education Purchasing Policy 6A-1.012(6), in lieu of requesting competitive solicitations from three or more sources, district school boards may make purchases at or below the specified prices from contracts awarded by other city or county governmental agencies, or other district school boards. |

| EVALUATION | |
| Contract administration or evaluation is performed by the Project Manager (end user) and Procurement Officer, who function as a team. Reviews are conducted face to face, typically quarterly, or by utilizing an online vendor performance report. Prior to soliciting a new contract, the Contract Administration team must first give consideration to the specifications and supporting data of the expiring contract. | |
