SUBJECT / RECOMMENDATIONS
Approve the Research Subaward Agreement (#1777-1092-00-C) with the University of South Florida (USF) for Services Associated with the Implementation of the Tampa Bay Robert Noyce Master Teacher Fellows Program (Curriculum and Instruction Division) 
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
This Research Subaward Agreement includes the 2014/2015, 2015/2016, and 2016/2017 school years and provides a total of $28,977 ($9,659 for each year of the project) to Hillsborough County Public Schools (HCPS).  HCPS agrees to contributions to the project in the form of $5,767 per year in stipends for Master Teacher Fellows to develop curriculum for the district, totaling $17,300 over the life of the Research Subaward Agreement. The goal of the five-year project is to augment the experience of HCPS students in K-12 science and mathematics courses by including best and emerging practices in K-12 science and mathematics instruction. The project’s Master Teacher Fellows will be called upon to develop lessons and modules to include project, problem, and place-based learning models, twenty-first century skill development, and Next Generation Science Standards, as well as assure that current curricula are adequately aligned with Florida Standards. 

USF has requested that The School Board of Hillsborough County, Florida be the first signature on the Research Subaward Agreement.

Funding for this project is provided by the National Science Foundation. USF is the grant's fiscal agent and project funds reside at USF.  District contributions will be paid through the Division of Curriculum and Instruction.
EVALUATION
Under the terms of the grant, USF is responsible for project evaluation.
