Approve the Partnership Agreement with the Florida Association of School Administrators (Student Services Division)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The purpose of the Florida Association of School Administrators (FASA) is to help its members meet their responsibility through a professional organization dedicated to the development of effective educational leadership.

FASA includes the following eight departments:

  • Florida Assistant Principal Association (FAPA)
  • Florida Association of District School Superintendents (FADSS)
  • Florida Association of Elementary and Middle School Principals (FAEMSP)
  • Florida Association of Instructional Supervisors & Administrators (FAISA)
  • Florida Association of Secondary School Principals (FASSP)
  • Florida Association of Student Councils (FASC)
  • Florida Chapters of the National Honor Society (FCNHS)
  • Florida Support Administrators Association (FSAA)

The district will be partnering with FASA to offer a one-day leadership institute for all principals, assistant principals, and select district staff on school culture. The institute will consist of a keynote speaker, breakout sessions, and opportunities for collaborative brainstorming and sharing of best practices.  In addition, FASA has agreed to provide all participants with a basic membership to their organization.

STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES
• Demonstrate consistent and effective teaching methods • Motivate students to become responsible learners • Recruit, develop, and retain a highly effective, diverse workforce • Promote a culture of safety, which is free from harassment, bullying, and aggression
FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted:  Yes)
Six hundred eighty-seven administrators and district staff will be attending the event. Funds for the partnership totaling $53,586 will be funded through various sources including Wallace, Title II, and Part I funds.  
EVALUATION
The Director of Professional Development and the Director of Leadership Development will conduct an evaluation at the conclusion of the training with input from participants and trainers.
