Approve Use of Facilities Agreement Between the School Board of Hillsborough County and the Tampa Metropolitan Area YMCA at Grady Elementary School

The Tampa Metropolitan Area YMCA is requesting assistance from the School Board of Hillsborough County to use a portion of Grady Elementary School to conduct their summer program.  The location currently used by the YMCA is under renovation and will not be ready in time for this summer's program.  The YMCA has requested use of six classrooms, playcourts and cafeteria from June 8, 2015 to August 7, 2015 and from August 10, 2015 to August 13, 2015, use of the cafeteria and playcourts.  This Use of Facilities will only apply to Grady Elementary School and no other School Board location and be for this one year only.

The YMCA will pay for the electrical for the six classrooms for 36 days ($4,536.00); electrical for the cafeteria for 40 days ($2,640.00); custodial services for 40 days ($2,880.00); and custodial supplies for 40 days ($2,130.80) for a total of $12,186.80.  The facility rental charge associated with the classrooms, playcourts and cafeteria will be waived. By approving the Use of Facilities Agreement between the School Board of Hillsborough County and the Tampa Metropolitan Area YMCA, the School Board will waive the facilities rental charge for the YMCA's 2015 summer program at Grady Elementary School.  Hard costs to the district (electrical, custodial and custodial supplies) in the amount of $12,186.80 will be paid by the YMCA to the district.
