| EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
| The Hillsborough Regional STEM Fair provides an opportunity for students to showcase their inquiry skill, creativity, use of technology and innovation while enjoying mathematics, science, and engineering. At the regional, state, and international fairs, students compete for a variety of awards and prizes offered by a variety of academic, business, community, and government partners.
In February, over 2,300 students competed in the 2015 Hillsborough Regional STEM Fair held at the Tampa Convention Center. The district honored five Best of Fair awards at their grade levels, as well as hundreds of other awards. In addition, 22 middle and secondary students qualified to compete at the SSEF in Lakeland from March 31, 2015 - April 2, 2015. Two of these students will represent Hillsborough County Public Schools at the International Science Engineering Fair in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on May 10-15, 2015, competing against over 2,000 students from around the world. |
