TO: | School Board Members |
FROM: | Jeff Eakins, Acting Superintendent |
SUBJECT / RECOMMENDATIONS
Approve the Reclassification of Investigator 2, Professional Standards, Non-Commissioned
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
Reclassify the position of Investigator 2, Professional Standards, Non-Commissioned (paygrade 25) to Investigator, Professional Standards (paygrade 27). The difference in the two job descriptions is the ability to make arrests. Since making arrests are outside the department's protocols, HCPS investigators need not be certified nor commissioned by the Florida Criminal Justice Standards and Training Council. Reclassification assigns a more appropriate job description and salary determination and will permit inactivation of the Investigator 2, Professional Standards, Non-Commissioned job code. |
