EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
With approval, this Agreement for Technical Services will continue the partnership between The School Board of Hillsborough County, Florida (HCPS) and the Mendez Foundation, which began when the Foundation’s prevention education specialists first entered our classrooms back in 1979. The Mendez Foundation has since been an invaluable partner providing high-impact drug and violence prevention and K-12 educational presentations, as well as discussion forums for parents and students in HCPS. As a component of the School Climate Transformation grant, one of the district awarded Now Is The Time initiatives, HCPS is expanding its partnership with the Mendez Foundation to train school-based staff at five project schools for year one in the use of Too Good for Drugs and Too Good for Violence Curricula. | |
