Approve Amendment to the Subagreement #2500-1618-00-A with the University of South Florida (USF) for the Implementation of the Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) to the Stars Project at Stewart Middle Magnet School | |
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
On March 3, 2015, the School Board approved a Subagreement with USF for the STEM to the Stars project. This school-based project is designed to integrate the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) STEM resources into the curriculum of two courses at Stewart Middle Magnet School. It is part of the national Project Lead the Way curriculum for middle grade students.
USF has extended the period of performance through May 1, 2016. This is a no cost extension. USF requires The School Board of Hillsborough County, Florida to sign the Amendment to the Subagreement before the Assistant Vice President of USF Research and Innovation. |

USF will fund STEM to the Stars in the amount of $9,714 for activities and materials necessary for the successful implementation of this project. | |
EVALUATION | |
Under the terms of the project, USF is responsible for the project evaluation. USF project personnel and the district, including the Assessment, Accountability, and Evaluation Department will work collaboratively to provide the required reporting and any appropriate artifacts. | |
