Approve Acceptance of Project for Minor Renovations at Three Sites (Chamberlain, Dowdell, Alexander)

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

A previously approved District Facilities Five Year Work Program provided for minor renovation of selected spaces at Chamberlain High, Dowdell Middle, and Alexander Elementary Schools.   The scope of work included renovation of science lab and chemical storage space at Chamberlain High; administration, general science and science lab spaces at Dowdell Middle; and restrooms at Alexander Elementary.

District staff selected Carruthers & Associates-Architects, P.A. and RW Tymewell, Inc. to provide design and construction management services.  On May 13, 2014, the Board approved a Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) for the project.

The design professional has certified that the work is complete in accordance with the plans and specifications and other contract documents and recommends Board acceptance.

This item is included in the District Capital Outlay:  Local Millage.
