Approve Acceptance of Project for Renovation of Bing Elementary School

A previously approved District Facilities Five Year Work Program provided for renovation of Bing Elementary School.  The scope of work included renovation of the heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) system; replacement of exterior light fixtures; new energy-efficient interior lighting; new ceilings; interior painting; a new fire sprinkler system; playcourt replacement; exterior envelope stucco repairs and water intrusion correction; new signage; plumbing improvements; data network upgrades; and correction of accessibility and safety deficiencies.

On October 8, 2013, the Board appointed Woodroffe Corporation Architects and Williams Company Tampa to provide design and construction management services, and subsequently approved a Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) for the project.  

The design professional has certified that the work is complete in accordance with the plans and specifications and other contract documents and recommends Board acceptance.

This item is included in the District Capital Outlay:  Local Millage.
