| EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
| The Calendar Committee met on April 1, 2015, to examine options regarding the 2015/2016 and 2016/2017 Student Academic Calendars. Attached is the recommendation from the Calendar Committee for the 2015/2016 Student Academic Calendar as presented and approved by the Superintendent April 2015.
Based on recent legislation awaiting the Governor’s signature, districts could be given flexibility with start dates. Therefore, the Calendar Committee will reconvene in the near future to make recommendations regarding the 2016/2017 Student Academic Calendar. The Calendar Committee consists of 69 members representing parents, students, community members, Parent Teacher Association, Hillsborough School Employees Federation, Classroom Teachers Association, school-based administrators, and district-level administration. |
