| Accept Statement of Work for Advanced Andean Solutions to Provide Enhancements to the Synergy Geographic Information System (Information and Technology Division) | |
| EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
| This statement of work (SOW) is for professional and technical services to provide enhancements to the Synergy Geographic Information System (GIS). The use of Synergy, by Hillsborough Choice in the Office of Student Planning and Placement, and the Growth Management and Planning Department, has driven the interest of other departments and the demand for increasing enhancements in the Synergy product. The two enhancements specified in the attached SOW include developing a Geographical Extract, Transform, and Load framework (G-ETL) or “Synergy Bridge,” and incorporating Spatial Business Intelligence Dashboard (Synergy SABI) data into the EdConnect School and Classroom Analytics.
The Synergy Bridge entails developing a G-ETL process to geocode data in the transformation of data, from the Student Information System to the GIS environment, so that we can incorporate student data into a spatial database for use in analysis and reporting. Synergy SABI is the process of taking that transformed spatial data and integrating that geographic data into the existing non-spatial analytic reports of EdConnect. Adding this layer of spatial data on a map will allow users to view patterns and trends that they potentially overlooked and will enrich support to measure student growth and teacher performance. All terms and conditions are in accordance with the Master Professional Services Agreement, dated June 10, 2014, between Advanced Andean Solutions and the School Board of Hillsborough County, Florida. |

| This agreement represents an amount not to exceed $468,700. It is a time and materials arrangement where the district will only pay for the hours of service provided. There are no additional fees for travel or per diem expenses. Teacher Incentive Fund (TIF) grant is included in the Information and Technology Division budget for this expense. | |
| EVALUATION | |
| The Information Technology (IT) Division will oversee and monitor the conduct of these services and through daily interaction and during project status meetings held between Advanced Andean Solutions and Information Technology staff. | |
