Approve Acceptance of Project for Painting (Exterior) at Two Sites (Turner/Bartels K-8, Robinson Elementary)

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

A previously approved District Facilities Five Year Work Program provided for exterior painting at Turner Bartels K-8 and Robinson Elementary Schools.  District staff selected Reynolds, Smith and Hills, Inc. from the approved Continuing Services Consultants list to provide design services.  On May 13, 2014, the Board awarded a contract for construction to United Painting Services, Inc.  The scope of work included repainting of exterior stucco; the interior and exterior of exterior doors; and railings and other exterior painted metal surfaces.

The design professional has certified that the work is complete in accordance with the plans and specifications and other contract documents and recommends Board Acceptance.

This item is included in the District Capital Outlay: Millage.
