EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Journalism students throughout Hillsborough County Public Schools collaborate daily to create relevant publications that meet high journalistic standards.  The National Scholastic Press Association (NSPA), Journalism Education Association (JEA), Columbia Scholastic Press Association (CSPA), and Southern Interscholastic Press Association (SIPA) recognize individuals and publications for outstanding work in this field.

NSPA Pacemakers have been called the Pulitzer Prizes of high school journalism, and represent the top 10-30 publications of each genre in the nation.

Students across the nation submit work for judging each year.  This year students and publications in our school district received recognition for JEA National Write-Offs, NSPA Best of Show, CSPA Gold Circle Awards, and SIPA mail-in contests.
