Recognition of the 2015 Florida Geography Bee State Winner (Curriculum and Instruction Division) | |
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
The National Geographic Geography Bee competition held in Washington, D. C. is a national contest for students in grades 4-8. Schools participate in the Geography Bee competition using materials prepared by the National Geographic Society. The competition is designed to encourage teachers to include geography in their classrooms, spark student interest in the subject, and increase public awareness about geography.
The 2015 Florida Geography Bee was held in Jacksonville, Florida on March 27, 2015. A student from Lincoln Magnet Elementary School won the state competition and went on to compete at the national level in May 2015. |
