EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
The Helios Education Foundation awarded $2,736,000 to USF for the implementation of the STEM Middle School Residency Program. This program focuses on restructuring preservice mathematics and science education programs at USF to align with the district’s way of work, including the teacher evaluation system and curricular expectations.
On August 27, 2013, a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) was approved by the School Board and signed by the dean of USF's College of Education. On July 29, 2014, Subagreement #1777-1098-00-A was approved by the School Board and signed by the dean of USF’s College of Education. Due to the continued growth of the program, USF is requesting to extend the position of a grant funded middle level educator position to serve as a “boundary crosser” between USF’s College of Education and the district to assist in the seamless implementation of the program. |
