Approve the Piggyback of Bid #10C-81H Between All American Tracks Corporation and Palm Beach County School District for the Installation of Polyurethane and Rubber Coatings for Running Tracks

To satisfy anticipated requirements for polyurethane track surfaces, staff proposes to piggyback Palm Beach County School District (PBCSD) bid #10-C-81H with All American Tracks Corporation through expiration of the agreement on June 15, 2018 (Attachment A).

Florida Department of Education (FLDOE) rule 6A-1.012 allows purchases from contracts awarded by other government agencies, district school boards, Department of Management Services (DMS), etc., at or below specified prices.

All American Tracks Corporation has offered to provide polyurethane track surfaces to Hillsborough County Public Schools (HCPS) under the terms of the agreement with PBCSD (Attachment B). All American Tracks Corporation has previously provided rubber and polyurethane track surfaces at several District sites. In each case, the track surface is performing satisfactorily.

All American Tracks Corporation's agreement with PBCSD includes an option for an additional two-year renewal. The Superintendent is authorized to approve extensions of the District's use of the agreement through the term of any renewals executed by PBCSD.

Polyurethane track surfaces are typically funded by a combination of donated, school and District matching funds. The initial requirement anticipated to be completed using this authority provides for a polyurethane surface on the track at Steinbrenner High School, at a cost of $113,900.
