Approve Acceptance of Project for Modular Additions (Area Director Complex) at Three Sites (Areas 2, 4, 5)

Area Leadership Directors (ALD) for Administrative Areas 2, 4 and 5 and their staff were housed in obsolete and non-economically repairable portable facilities.  District staff combined requirements for replacement of these facilities with modular buildings into a single project and selected Long & Associates Architects/Engineers, Inc. and Halfacre Construction Company from the approved Continuing Services Consultants list to provide design and construction management services. The project scope included demolition of existing portables located on the Sickles High School, Chamberlain High School and Burns Middle School campuses, and replacement with modular office buildings.  In addition to the ALD office complexes, the scope included an additional modular building on the Chamberlain campus for Pre-K staff, and additional parking on the Burns campus to support Area 5 staff requirements.

The design professional has certified that the work is complete in accordance with the plans and specifications and other contract documents and recommends Board Acceptance.
