Approve Acceptance of Project for Lopez Modular Addition (Exceptional Student Education (ESE) Center)

A portion of Lopez ESE Center was housed in obsolete and non-economically repairable portable facilities.  District staff selected Long & Associates Architects/Engineers, Inc. and Halfacre Construction Company from the approved Continuing Services Consultants list to provide design and construction management services for a project to replace the portables with new modular buildings.  On June 10, 2014, the Board approved a Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) for a new facility comprised of modular buildings providing clinic, classroom, dining room, storage and office space.

The design professional has certified that the work is complete in accordance with the plans and specifications and other contract documents and recommends Board Acceptance.

This item is included in District Capital Outlay:  Local Millage.
