Approve the Agreement for Technical Services with Chess Nut Society to Teach Chess Strategies for Staff Associated with the Hillsborough County Out-of-School Time Program (HOST) (Academic Support and Federal Programs Division) | |
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
Chess Nut Society will provide HOST staff training, coaching support, materials, and resources necessary to provide HOST elementary students with chess skills, which foster academic success, and a positive youth development. This program will be implemented in approximately 100 sites for the 2015/2016 school year. | |

• Motivate students to become responsible learners • Promote a culture of safety, which is free from harassment, bullying, and aggression | |

The cost of $18,036 will be available in the HOST budget to supplement funding. | |
