Upon receipt of training in entry-level positions at a variety of businesses in the community, participating students are better prepared to successfully enter the workforce. During the 2015/2016 school year, under this one-year Agreement of Understanding, an estimated number of 60 students with disabilities will receive training opportunities.
STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES
• Motivate students to become responsible learners
FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted:  Yes)
The estimated cost for transporting students to and from the business sites is approximately $85,000 for the one-year period and is included in the divisional special revenue/federal programs budget for Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).

  • 24 percent of the students were rated satisfactory in the 6 areas
  • 1 percent of the students were rated needs improvement in the 6 areas
