Approve Acceptance of Project for Remodeling (Interior Partitions & Carpet) at McDonald Elementary School

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

To provide a classroom environment more conducive to student learning, a minor remodeling project was planned at McDonald Elementary School. District staff selected Holmes Hepner & Associates Architects and Cutler Associates, Inc. to provide design and construction management services. The scope of work included new classroom partitions; installation of new carpeting in classroom areas; a new fire sprinkler system; and new door hardware at several openings.

On May 13, 2014, the Board approved a Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) for the project.

The design professional has certified that the work is complete in accordance with the plans and specifications and other contract documents and recommends Board Acceptance.

This item is included in District Capital Outlay: Local Millage.
