Information Regarding the Expansion of MyPaymentsPlus Payment Solution (Business Division)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
MyPaymentsPlus is an online web-based payment solution that makes it fast, easy, and safe for parents to make payments for any school fees and activities.  There are no hardware or software fees, no yearly maintenance fee, and no contract to sign.  Costs are covered by a convenience fee parents are charged.  Parents know and see the rate that they are paying.  The fee of 3.99 percent is added when parents checkout.

Student Nutrition Services and parents have been utilizing MyPaymentsPlus, known as Meal Pay, since 2003.  Last year, MyPaymentsPlus processed over $9 million of parent payments for school meals.

The program includes hosting, maintenance, and upgrades for software; a parent support line available 7:30 AM - 5:30 PM EST; and five modules.  We will be utilizing the general payments module used for "pick and pay" activities (athletics, field trips, yearbooks, clubs, parking, donations, etc.). We will begin with a pilot in Area 5.

This software has been reviewed by the Supervisor of K-12 Instructional Technology and will interface with the schools' internal account software.  Training will be provided by the Business Division.

There is no financial impact to the district.
EVALUATION
Success will be measured by the number of transactions and dollars processed through the schools' internal accounts software.
