Authorize the Direct Negotiation Between Gibson Consulting Group and Hillsborough County Public Schools (HCPS) for an Educational and Operational Efficiency Review and Audit (Business Division)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The Gibson Consulting Group is dedicated exclusively to the education industry.  Gibson has developed a reputation for delivering high-quality consulting and research services to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of K-12 education at the school, school system, regional, and state levels. Their client list includes 5 of the largest 12 school systems in the U.S., including the Clark County School District and Fairfax County Public Schools.

Gibson’s mission is to better the lives of students by providing exemplary educational consulting and research services that make educational systems more efficient and effective.  Gibson addresses virtually any academic, operational program or administrative need faced in public education by offering a wide range of consulting and research services that improve the efficiency, effectiveness, compliance, and decision-making in educational systems. 

The purpose of the review and audit would be to conduct an objective review of operational areas within the district, identify opportunities to improve efficiencies, determine whether savings could be achieved through best practices, and make recommendations for improving management practices.
