Adoption of the Proclamation Congratulating the 2015 National Hispanic Scientist of the Year Award Honorees 
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
This proclamation recognizes the Museum Of Science and Industry (MOSI) 2015 National Hispanic Scientist of the Year Award Honorees:

  • Modesto “Mitch” Maidique, Ph.D., President of Florida International University (FIU) for 23 years and now Executive Director of FIU’s Center for Leadership
  • Miguel Morales-Silva, Ph.D., a computational materials physicist at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory

The proclamation will be presented at the gala on October 24, 2015, at MOSI.
