| Approve the Agreement for Technical Services with Mindsteps, Inc. (Leadership Development) | |
| EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
| The Florida Department of Education awarded the district with an Instructional Leadership and Faculty Development Grant in the amount of $510,065. These dollars are being used to develop principals through small group principal’s meetings, principal PLCs and specialized area trainings all based on principals’ competency-based goals. The contract with Mindsteps, Inc. will allow Area 8 principals the opportunity to further their learning in how to give teachers the kind of feedback that will improve their practice. They will learn how to differentiate their feedback based on teacher needs and how to move unmotivated teachers toward greater performance.
The training will include a full day session on effective feedback followed by two days of in-school coaching for each principal. |
