Approve Proposed Attendance Boundary Adjustments for Tinker K-8 and Monroe Middle School | |
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
In August 2015, a classroom addition was completed at Tinker Elementary to convert the school to a K-8 school. The middle school students residing on base who were assigned to Monroe Middle School for the 2015-2016 school year were enrolled into Tinker K-8 through the Choice application process. Per the District’s 40th day count, 134 middle school students reside on base and 127 of those students are enrolled in Tinker K-8. The official boundary change is proposed to be effective for the school year starting August 2016. A parent information meeting was held at Tinker K-8 on January 13, 2016, for parents to review the proposed boundaries and ask questions of District staff members. Attached are maps depicting the proposed attendance boundaries for Tinker K-8 and Monroe Middle School. |
