Approve Donation of Potable Water Facilities for a Fire Line at Sulphur Springs K-8 Community School to the City of Tampa |

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
As part of the campus modifications at Sulphur Springs K-8 Community School, the School Board was required to install certain potable water facilities for a fire line including a Fire Department connection, a backflow preventer and related piping in the City of Tampa's service area. This separate water line is necessary to service the new fire sprinkler system installed as part of the school's expansion project. The plans for the fire line were submitted to the City of Tampa's Water Department and approved. The City will assume ownership, maintenance, and operation and the School Board will guarantee the facilities against defects in workmanship and materials for a period of thirteen months. |
