Approve Acceptance of Project for Heating, Ventilating, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Renovation at Coleman Middle School |

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
A previously approved District Facilities Five Year Work Program provided for renovation of the HVAC system at Coleman Middle School. On September 30, 2014, the Board appointed Engineering Professionals, Inc. to provide design services. Subsequently, the Board awarded a contract for construction to Kenyon & Partners, Inc. The scope of work included replacement of existing roof top HVAC units with a new chilled water system, including new chillers, ductwork, air handling units and energy management controls. The project scope also included new ceilings, interior paint and energy efficient lighting; a new fire sprinkler system; and electrical system improvements. |

Funds in the amount of $6,132,360.94 will be available in the Local Millage fund and Capital Improvement Revenue Bonds. For tracking purposes, the project number specific to this agenda item is 8100. As of Thursday, March 3, 2016, the remaining balance less encumbrances for this line item equaled $188,467.45.
