Recognize the Positive Behavioral Intervention and Support (PBIS) District Model Schools (Student Services Division) | |
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
PBIS is a collaborative, educative, proactive, and functional process used to develop effective interventions for problem behavior. The PBIS process is a team-based approach that relies on a strong collaboration between families and professionals from a variety of disciplines. It has been put into practice for the last eight years and is currently in 52 schools across all grade levels. Each year, Florida's PBIS Multi-Tiered Support System recognizes model schools at the bronze, silver, and gold levels. We want to recognize seven schools who achieved or improved their PBIS status during the 2014/2015 school year.
