| Approve the Memorandum of Understanding Between The School Board of Hillsborough County, Florida (HCPS) and University Community Hospital, Inc. d/b/a Florida Hospital Tampa (FHT) and Florida Hospital Carrollwood (FHC) (Academic Support and Federal Programs Division) | |
| EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
As part of their mission to improve the health of the community, FHT and FHC desire to enter into a program of voluntary collaboration with HCPS to offer educational and service support to nine schools:
Volunteer activities provided by FHT and FHC include field trips to FHT and Wound Care Institute FHC, hospital externships and shadowing opportunities, surgical procedure observations at Pepin Heart Institute, classroom clinical speakers, Great American Teach-In speakers, workshops, mobile well care and immunizations, Hillsborough Choice Expo participation, Feed a Family Campaign participation, school health fair participation, and many additional similar events. |
