Recognition of the 2016 Hillsborough Alliance of Black School Educators (HABSE) Annual Black History Brain Bowl Trivia Competition Winners (Curriculum and Instruction Division)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
On March 5, 2016, the HABSE held the first annual Black History Brain Bowl Trivia Competition.  Teams competed to showcase their knowledge of current and past African American History.  The purpose of the HABSE is to advocate and facilitate the education of all students, African-American students in particular.  They are dedicated to increasing student achievement and teacher professional development to create success in the classroom.  We are proud to recognize the following winners:

First Place Winners – Middleton High School:  Khanh Nguyen, 10th Grade; Joel Phanord, 10th Grade; Aubrey Joseph, 11th Grade; Juliette Prospere, 11th Grade

Second Place Winners – Leto High School:  Chelsey Delgado, 10th Grade; Maria Norwood, 10th Grade; Daniela Quintana, 10th Grade; Seth Will, 10th Grade; Anayansi Vinelo Perez, 11th Grade

Third Place Winners – Sligh Middle School:  Savian Graham, 6th Grade; Omari Greene, 6th Grade; Jokobi Nelson, 8th Grade; Brianna Nickerson, 8th Grade
