SUBJECT / RECOMMENDATIONS
Approve the 2014-2015 Energy Conservation Report, Energy Mentor incentives, as well as, school incentives and penalties.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The following annual Energy Conservation report for SY14-15 demonstrates the District’s conservation efforts. During this period, energy consumption was further reduced. The District’s electrical consumption per square foot dropped from 13.40 kWh/sqft in SY13-14, to 12.50 kWh/sqft for SY14-15. This decrease represents approximately a 5.94% drop in usage over last year.

Also included in the report is an update on the thermal energy storage (ice) plants. These plants now continue to avoid electrical costs of approximately $280,969 annually.  This amount represents savings over conventional chilled water systems that require larger chillers.  To date, these plants have avoided at least $936,751 in electrical costs.

STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES
• Construct and maintain facilities that create an environment conducive to teaching and learning
FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted:  No)
