EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

The AIChE is the world's leading organization for chemical engineering professionals, representing more than 50,000 members from over 100 countries who work in industry, academia, and government. In addition to advancing the field of chemical engineering, the AIChE mission is to support excellence in K-12 STEM education. Each year local AlChE chapters recognize and award two STEM teachers for their excellence in education. Awardees must demonstrate a passion for innovative practices in STEM teaching and learning, have a track record of success including student data, and extensively support STEM learning in out of school time settings through projects. This year’s winners were invited to attend the AIChE Central Florida Dinner Meeting on Tuesday, April 12, 2016, at the Imperial Swann Hotel where they were presented with the 2015/2016 AIChE Teacher of the Year Award and a cash prize.
